Who are you?
Hi, my name is Bruno Merli. I’m a 21yo Brazilian VFX artist, Motion Designer, video editor and AI Generated artist.
When did you start making art?
I started my art journey since I was a kid, I believe, when I developed my love for movies and VFX. But only started making actual stuff back in 2014, when I was doing video montages, Facebook covers, wallpapers and so on. Then I walked the step up and make it to professional level in 2018, doing video editing for clients in Brazil.
When did you start making art with machine learning?
I discovered Machine Learning in 2020 when I was studying some VFX stuff, because these 2 are walking together to develop digital art industry. Felt in love by it since when I saw what it was capable to do. It’s simply amazing.

When did you first hear about Tezos?
First time I’ve heard of Tezos was in earlies 2021 during the NFT hype, but just started actually minting in September 2021.
What do you love about machine learning art?
The thing I love the most about Machine Learning (besides the huge time-saving on doing tedious work) is the fact that it feels like I’m brushing on a canvas, but the canvas is not there. Also, it is always improving itself just by giving it more time.
Out of your current creations do you have any that stand out as your favorite?
My personal favorite artwork so far is “1809”. It is not my most difficult one, not my most detailed, not my highly conceptual. But it was my very first piece that made me stop and think: “Okay, this is damn GOOD”. It’s atemporal, it’s eye-catcher, it’s deep. Just hits different.

What do you have planned for 2022?
For 2022 I’m planning on work more on my self-branding and expand my works to different blockchains and platforms. I’m trying to improve the quality of my work and my communication.
Do you have any passions outside of the art world?
In my free time I enjoy gaming, watching movies, listen to music and cook for my loved ones. Just chill out in general.
Is there anyone you want to shoutout?
Want to shout out to my friend Alex Benedith (@allexbenedith), who brought me here to NFT world. He is a good mentor and a huge inspiration as an artist. And say a huge thanks to everyone of my collectors that are supporting me in my beginning. Special thanks to Stef de Groot (@stef_sdg), that is my biggest collector so far and his support encourages me to keep producing and improving every day.
Anything else?
Last words, I want to promote the Dartroom marketplace based in Algorand blockchain. It’s a curated marketplace with huge incentive and support for artists. Some big names are already there, so it’s something to think about. And the $ALGO blockchain are going to be a game-changer in crypto world. It’s a clean blockchain, carbon-negative, fast and strong. Huge potential on growing and it still early to hop into it.
