Who are you?
My name is Tailor, I’m 23 years old, and I make some collages, I was born in the countryside of Rio Grande do Sul – Brazil, I come from a simple family, my mother was a librarian and my father worked with everything he could to help around the house, I never imagined become an artist to be honest…
When did you start making art?
I started making art in 2016, time after I lost the 2 most important women in my life, my mom and grandma…. I started trying to make some beats, but I saw that it wasn’t for me… So I decided to open photoshop and tried to make some collages, which at the time were horrible! But they already had an abstract and unique concept behind it… After that I started to improve my collages until artists known by the public started to call me to do the cover arts for their sounds… At the time I thought it was great, I accepted any shit, and there were few who really valued my work, Much praise but many bills to pay, and no food to eat….
What would you call your style?
I do some collages.
What programs do you use to create?
I started with the PS cs6 that accompanied me for a long time, for me it’s one of the best by far! Currently I’ve been working with 3D too, I’m studying a lot and also practicing to improve my collage style and try to bring it to 3D and I’ve been doing it through C4D.
What is your process of making an artwork?
I don’t know how to describe my creative process to be honest, Because it’s pretty random, It comes up as insights, without any intention I decide I’m going to make an art, and something amazing starts to come out of my head, A good beer, weed and a lofi background is the basics.
What got you into NFTs?
It would be hypocritical to say that the opportunity to sell my art, and gain recognition for it wouldn’t be the main reason, besides the lack of recognition for my work that I’ve been doing for about 5 years, for renowned artists here in Brazil, and continue to go hungry. and without a change in my pocket was one of the reasons that made me enter the market, Before lying my genesis I was working for a Call Center at the service of a bank…. In which they threw me into an investment area, being that I had never worked or studied investments, I saw this as a challenge and faced it the best way possible! I became interested in the subject and learned about the NFT’S… It was then that I decided that I would change my life, I studied the subject for 5 months while working at the call center, After that I decided to make my first publication for the event #HEN13 and I was super well received….
How have you enjoyed the Tezos community so far?
Taking all this into account, All the warmth I received from the community, and the people who were able to invest in my work, to the point of being able to change my life completely, in less than 1 year…. Find other amazing artists from my own country that I would never have found…. Outside of other countries covering a vastness of cultures! And so many amazing works! This motivated me to keep doing what I do better and better! And it made me feel at home!
Do you have any creations that are your favorite?
I think my favorites would be DemoonHead and Asscension! Both with a concept behind it that means a lot to me! But it’s up to each one to interpret, and that’s the best thing about art!
What do you have planned for 2022?
My plans are to achieve my main goals, which would be, My own home, See my work exhibited in a physical gallery with my own eyes, And meet in person some people that nowadays I can consider not only collectors of my work but also true friends. ! And thank you eye to eye, to each of them!! And keep doing what I do best….
Is there anyone you want to shout-out?
For my mom and grandma! I’m sure they’ll be seeing me proud from up there! And also to everyone who supports me and is currently supporting my work, I won’t mention it because they will know who they are!!
want to thank you for the opportunity to talk a little about me! This is really something I’ve always wanted, but no one has ever been interested! I really appreciate the support and hope we can meet here in Brazil one day maybe! And you will be very well received!!
